450 BPE 31/4 inch Double Rifle by a very well respected London maker for his rifles. Excellent rebounding back-action locks, round action with a Jones' rotary lever retain 95% original case colors. The 28" steel barrels have a wide hand filed rib with a blade front sight , three bladed (one rigid, two folding, 100,200 and 300 meters) rear sight and also uses Henry's Rifling which has either 7 or 9 (in this case 7) grooves and a full twist every 22 inches. This rifling was almost exclusively used with the 450 3 1/4 caliber. The barrel address is 104 QUEEN VICTORIA ST, LONDON. The walnut stock measures 14 3/8 x 1 1/2 x 2 1/4 x 3/16 cast off to it's original hard rubber butt plate. Overall condition is excellent, cased in a period DR hammer case and accessories.
