James Purdey 12 #3 of Maharaja Duleep Singh Trio

12 bore hammer gun with island back rebounding lock action and Jones' rotary under lever. 30 inch Damascus barrels measure- chambers 2 5/8; bores R/L .734/.735; chokes .023/.0024; walls .032/.030. still in original London proof. Original English stock measures 14 1/2 x 1 1/4 x 2 7/16 x 1/4 cast off to checkered one inch ebony extension. Cased in an original Purdey brass cornered oak case with loading accessories and Purdey oil bottle. Action, barrels and fore end marked with number 3 as the third gun of the first trio ordered in 1871 by the Maharaja Duleep Singh.
