14 bore double barrel percussion gun in its oak and brass case with some accessories. The original condition 31 inch Damascus barrels are in pristine unfired condition with bright pattern and mirror bores (.680 inch bores without any choking. The locks also have excellent original condition both inside and out. Trigger guard, butt plate and other metal accessories retain most of their fire-blued finish and engraving. The trigger guard tang safety (Wyatt's Safeguard- patent dated 3 February, 1818) is of the type often used by Purdey even on their earliest flintlocks. The Stock is has some wear not from hunting but handling over the past 150 + years. It measures 14 1/8 x 1 5/16 x 1 5/8 x 0 cast. Weight is 7 lbs. 2.2 oz.
