12 bore hand-detachable side lock ejector heavy game/Pigeon gun. Made as no. 1 gun of a pair with its original single oak and leather single gun case and all accessories. The treble grip action and Joseph Braziers locks retains all of its original case color with bold acanthus scrollwork on a matt background. Gold inlays include two ducks in flight on the left lock, two pheasants on the right and a pointer on the bottom panel all set in appropriate wildlife settings. Similar engraving is found on the trigger guard and as a wedge on the breech end of the barrels. The 30 inch barrels with 2 3/4 chamber and raised matt rib measure R/L bores .729/.729; chokes .010/.034 and walls .026/.029. The high grade walnut straight English stock measures 14 1/4 x 1 1/2 x 2 x 1/8 cast of to its original leather covered pad. The gun weighs 7-3, has a Birmingham 1 1/4 oz proof and is in near new condition. Truly a best gun by all standards by the best Birmingham maker.
