William Powell "Heritage Series" 20 Hand-detatchable BLE
William Powell Heritage 20
Serial # H16069 20 bore hand-detatchable box lock with ejectors. Serial number indicates this gun was an early prototype. The 26 inch chopperlump barrels measure; bores RT/LT .627/.627, chokes .004/.0112, walls .029/.027 and original proofs at .625. Straight English stock measures 14 1/2 x 1 1/2 x 2 1/2 x 1/4 cast off to a checkered butt. Weight; 6-4. The hand-detatchable boxlock, introduced by Whestley Richards, has retained a high respect from serious hunters for its strength and dependability. Trevallion and McIntosh have well treated this particular gun in their book "Shotgun Technicana" in chapter four named "Sometime a great notion". This was made by Famars for Powell. Cased in its orginal case with accessories.
